Re: [threadx] ThreadX certification artifacts

Hi Harald.

Thank you for your interest in Eclipse ThreadX.

The Eclipse Foundation's board of directors approved the principle of a program to provide non-Eclipse members with access to safety documentation. The program's name is ThreadX Alliance, and we hope it will be fully operational by Q4 of this year.

Foundation staff is currently working on the program's implementation. The pricing model has yet to be finalized. Our lawyers are working on the legal agreements and licensing terms for the documentation in parallel. Please watch this mailing list for further information. We will provide additional details as we approach the launch.

I can share a sample safety manual for USBX with you so you can evaluate the documentation package. Please email me directly if you are interested.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Frédéric DESBIENS

Dear Frédéric Desbiens,

I am writing from Austria, our company being in the embedded development and delivery business for 10 years.

We want to build a product in the railway business, using ThreadX (more specifically, ThreadX RTOS and DuoX TCP with TLS), that finally needs to be certified for EN50128.
For the evaluation of a solution with ThreadX, we need to investigate the certification artifacts that are available.
As I understood from https://www.eclipse.org/lists/threadx/msg00039.html, there has been no access for non-Eclipse-members to these certificate artifacts in Jan 2024. Are there any updates regarding this access?

What are our options currently to view the certification artifacts?
What are the estimated costs to use the certification artifacts to certify a product built with ThreadX?

Best regards,
Harald
