Re: [temurin-dev] Essential 8 Requirement - "Web browsers do not process Java from the internet."

Hi Paul,

for IcedTeaWeb the newest version is 1.8.8. (https://github.com/AdoptOpenJDK/IcedTea-Web/releases). Maybe an update on that version already provides the needed feature. The settings of IcedTeaWeb should contain a "server whitelist“ panel that can be used to define a whitelist of servers that can be used to download applications.

Hope that helps.

Morning Everyone,

Can anyone let me know how we go about meeting the Essential 8 Requirement - "Web browsers do not process Java from the internet."

Its my understand that this control only affects devices that have Java install. We are using Eclipse 8u345-bo1 and IceTea 1.1.8 to manage a Fat client.

In Java Oracle you can you set up an allowed list that points to an XML file that allows only certain websites to run Java.

Can someone let me know how we achieve - "Web browsers do not process Java from the internet."

Happy to be sent a quote for this piece of work.

Thanks
