Re: [technology-pmc] Request for Neon.1 repository update - Problem with Git HTTP Authentication

I'm sorry, it seems that when it rains, it pours. The Platform project has asked if we can include another change in MPC to hide a serious bug in platform that is exposed by the "Editors available on marketplace" feature in MPC.

The Platform bug is https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=502514 and the proposed change in MPC is discussed on bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=498553 and available in Gerrit at https://git.eclipse.org/r/82522. I've verified that this successfully hides the Platform issue on Windows, Mac and Linux and leaves the Git fix intact. I've produced a build containing both proposed fixes at http://download.eclipse.org/mpc/drops/1.5.2/v20161005-1414 in case this gets approved.

Best regards,
Carsten
