Re: [technology-pmc] Making GSOC students to committers on recommenders.incubator project

As long as each committer nomination includes a description of merit (such as participation in GSOC), you are within the rules of EDP and I don’t anticipate objections from the PMC. For persistent incubators, there have been cases where no demonstration of merit was acceptable (see e4), but you are better off listing something.

Thanks,

Subject: [technology-pmc] Making GSOC students to committers on recommenders.incubator project

Hi PMC,

our GSOC students make quite nice progress this year. Some (if not all) want to continue their work after the GSOC and after 3 months of continuous work we'd like to give them commit rights to the Recommenders.Incubator project. At the same time I'd also like add the mentors of these GSOCs as committers so that they can continue their work over here at eclipse.org(most GSOC projects are currently hosted on github).

PMC, do you have any concerns giving a 3-6 people committer rights on the incubator project. Thought, I should ask before running into a veto :-)

Best,
Marcel
