Dear Members!

 

In light of the fact that we now have sufficient means implemented to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic in many (sadly, though, not all) parts of the world, the Steering Committee would like to convene a 1-day face-to-face meeting of the Tangle EE Working Group in order to personally reflect and discuss the future of this endeavor with you.

 

We currently propose the following agenda points – but please do add your own topics as you see fit (just write back to me/or this list and I’m happy to consolidate):

 

CURRENT AGENDA

n IOTA – Research & Development Status Update

n IOTA – Projects Status Update

·      most important completed or running projects

n Member Status Updates

·      role of DLTs in general & IOTA in particular in current organizational strategy and near-term/mid-term tactics

·      projects – completed, running, or planned

·      future requirements

n Tangle EE WG future

·      reflection & analysis

·      vision and objectives: e.g. which areas to focus on: use cases, applications, research, or technology

·      consequences and activities for 2022 and beyond

ACTIONS

1.    Please indicate whether you are able to attend such a 1-day face-to-face meeting
If you would rather like to participate remotely please tell us as well: We will provide appropriate means to participate virtually, of course, as well

2.    Please indicate a convenient time frame when you could attend.
We currently envisage the December 2021 or January 2022 time frame for this to happen.

3.    Provide an amendments to the agenda if you think we have missed an important topic

 

The Working Group will cover costs associated with the meeting venue (location to be determined depending on who is going to participate). Note that as per the Eclipse Foundation’s anti-trust bylaws, participants will have to cover their travel costs individually.
