Re: [sw360-dev] Invitation: Vision Workshop on the Future of SW360 - 4th November

Dear all,

This is a gentle Reminder for the upcoming SW360 Vision workshop during our regular one-hour weekly sync.
To prepare, I have created a Conceptboard which you can access:

Within the board, you'd find a "Wall of ideas". Please take a sticky note from above the wall and put it on the wall.
In the note, please provide a Title (to help us identify the idea) and a description (use as much space as you want).

During the workshop, we will start by discussing the ideas. Then vote them. Finally give them a timeline.

Please take the time now to familiarize yourself with the Conceptboard and how to use it.
Also, please take time to add your ideas to the board so we can be prepared for the workshop.
Anyways, this 1 hour will not be sufficient enough and we will have more runs of this workshop.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Thanks and regards,
Gaurav Mishra

Hi SW360 Community,

Hope you're all doing well!

Following our discussion in today’s community call, we have scheduled a Vision Workshop for 4th November. This workshop will be an opportunity for us to reflect on the recent v20 release, assess where we stand, and plan the future of SW360 software and our community.

Agenda Highlights:
  • Software Development:
    • Removal of the Thrift layer
    • Transition towards microservices
  • Operations:
    • Future goals for license compliance
    • SBOM management
    • Cybersecurity initiatives

We welcome any additional points or topics you would like to bring up during the workshop. Your insights and ideas are crucial as we plan the next steps for SW360.

Looking forward to your valuable contributions!

Best regards,
Gaurav Mishra
