Good evening!
I'm going to start a simulation to check for possible improvements on an uphill and downhill section of a mountain road.
I will take speed measurements at several points, for example: one at the beginning of the climb, two in the middle, one at the end, and then one on a flat section.
Initially, my strategy was to check the percentage of trucks with very low speeds and include that vehicle in the simulation, limiting its maximum speed. However, on the same section, this vehicle can, on the flat surface, achieve a higher speed than on the uphill section. I don't know if I was clear, but for example: If I found that 10% of the vehicles on the uphill and downhill sections travel at a crawling speed, at the beginning of the climb it would enter very slowly and continue at that maximum speed. However, I believe the ideal would be to show the vehicle gradually losing speed; this applies to both uphill and downhill sections.
Does SUMO have any support for inserting ramp information that could model the speed behavior of the trucks?
