Re: [sumo-user] Question on the NEMA traffic light mode in SUMO.

1. No. In fact, having this button enabled for NEMA is a bug (https://github.com/eclipse-sumo/sumo/issues/16949)
2. Durations are dynamic within a configurable range. See https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Simulation/NEMA.html

Hello Sumo team,

I am sorry if this is a silly question. Im rather new to SUMO, and Im exploring the NEMA traffic light modes. The mode gives a way to add a few E1 detectors to it's function. I have the following questions about the traffic light mode and how it works in SUMO:
1. Is it mandatory to add detectors for NEMA lights to function correctly?
2. If not, then how is the duration for the traffic lights calculated, will it run for the number of seconds that I pass as the duration parameter in NetEdit?

Thank you
Regards
Aman Savaria
