Re: [sumo-user] installation of libtraci C++ on Ubuuntu

Hi Bart,

you can build and install SUMO completely under LINUX, see https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Installing/Linux_Build.html, either using the latest development version or the tarball of the latest official release.

This includes also libtraci.

Hi SUMO-users,

SUMO is nicely supported in Ubuntu (20.04) and can be easily installed via the software manager, including the libtraci libraries for python in /usr/share/sumo/tools/.

What about the C++ version. Is a library installed as well to link to? Or is the /src provided to build it?

The page on https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Libtraci.html explains how to compile and run it on linux. Interestingly the 'Buildling and Installing' section only covers windows for the C++ version, so i assume there is no installation to do on linux/ubuntu? If not, is there a description what to install and combine it with the installation from the software manager in ubuntu?

Thanks,

Bart
