[sumo-user] Unable to obtain results with '--minimize-vehicles' option in route Sampler

Hello,
I am generating a scenario with the help of route sampler tool. The count data and a set of route files are the inputs for the route sampler tool. The amount of mismatch between the count data and the results obtained by the route sampler is less. However the number of vehicles generated is very high and unrealistic.
Based on my understanding, I considered that the following steps should decrease the number of vehicles.
1. Improve the route file which is being provided as an input to the route sampler
2. Use the --min-count with a higher value to cause vehicles to visit more detector locations
3. Use the --total-count option to set a hard constraint on the total number of vehicles. (This however decreases the GEH values drastically).
4. Use the --minimize-vehicles

Does the approach make sense or is there a flaw in it?

The last option '--minimize-vehicles' when used with --optimization option doesn't seem to have any effect on the output. Do you have any idea why this could be happening?

Thanks and regards,
Prapul
