With your current approach you are losing a large number of OSM attributes which are relevant for network building.
If you just want to fix the roundabout problem, split the shape into two shapes.
Consider doing your modifications on the .net.xml file (i.e. with netedit) or patches (https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Tutorials/ScenarioGuide.html#modifying_the_network) or even at the OSM stage with JOSM.

I cannot switch directly from the OSM to sumo file. I have to go through the Shape file because I am in the stage of project variants.

 

The OSM file only provides me with the project in its current network. I have to go through Shape file to add modifications to the current network in shape file, which is a variation of layout to be tested in microsimulation.

The recommended way for converting OSM data to a .net.xml file is by importing the OSM data directly (https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Networks/Import/OpenStreetMap.html).
Is there a strong reason for converting to a shape file as an intermediate step?

I am a beginner in the use of the SUMO software. I am trying to convert a Shape file to a sumo network file from NETCONVERT.

 

I have a Shape file obtained from an OSM (Open Street Map)  file containing the ring of a gyratory. When I have done the     conversion by NETCONVERT of the Shape file into a sumo   network file, the operation works except that once the conversion is done and by opening the sumo network file  obtained the ring of the gyratory does not appear. I tried to  solve the problem but I couldn't succeed, thank you for your  help. I attach:

 

-The Error Message,

-The SUMO network file obtained after converting the Shape file to CONVERT,(Atteched).
