Hi Dylan,
the priority attribute is „a number, which determines the priority between different road types. netconvert derives the right-of-way rules at junctions from
the priority. The number starts with one; higher numbers represent more important roads.”
Is your network grater than the pictures you sent? You can try
randomTrips.py with a higher
--fringe-factor which will
increase the probability that trips will start/end at the fringe of the network. In the wiki you can find more information about random trips, see
https://sumo.dlr.de/docs/Tools/Trip.html#randomtripspy

Giuliana

Betreff: [sumo-user] Ways to prioritise lanes
I am facing an issue with the randomTrips.py function. The randomTrips priorities the right lane going to the gas station instead of the highway (See attached). This is not realistic as most cars join
the highway. I tried changing the “priority” aspect of the blue lane in netedit but that did not work. Are you aware of a way to priorities lanes?
