Apparently, our release are not "true releases" according to the github philosopy. They are just tags. For this reason the 'latest release' feature is not working.
However, this should work:

Hello,

I am looking for a pointer to the source of the latest release version
(e.g. v1_1_0),
so I could download latest stable version (that is, not the nightly
build) in an automated way.

I tried to use the github API call:

curl -L https://api.github.com/repos/eclipse/sumo/releases/latest

but it returns an empty list.

Is there any other way I could download the latest release source,
without specifying the release number?

Best regards,
Aleksander
