Re: [sumo-user] Causing lateral collisions while changing sublanes
|
The version you used still has the code from sunday. Please use version 1.1.0 which includes the fix and has now been released.
(The documentation was already updated but the download links were only updated now).
regards,
Jakob
Hi Jakob,
I tried again with the latest development release, as the Main release link for version 1.1.0 was redirecting me to the link for v1.0.1.
So the development release I used was v1_0_1+1102-68af173b86. As advised, I have kept bits 8 and 9 of the lane change mode as 0, but the vehicle doesn’t seem to change sublane when it encounters a vehicle beside it. Hence I am still not
able to cause any lateral collisions.
Am I using the correct version or do I also need to change some other parameters?
Thanks for your help
Best Regards
Aashik Chandramohan
Thank you for the example scenario. Please try tomorrows version where lateral collisions should now be working reliably if bits 8 and 9 are both set to 0.
regards,
Jakob
Hi Jakob
I have attached the source files. And a simple program when I move the vehicle from one end of the lane to the other end of the next lane.
Thank you

I suppose there might be another bug.
Please provide your traci script (as small as possible) and scenario files so I can take a look at why the collision is not registered.
regards,
Jakob
I have given collision.action as remove. I have also attached SUMO configuration file snapshot with this mail.

Thank you

what sumo options are you using?
I have set the lanechange mode to 0 for the vehicle that I am controlling (as I want to only allow it to change sublanes via TraCI). I notice that the vehicle goes very close to the vehicles next to it, but then it automatically brakes
or does not change the sublane even though the command to change sublane is given. Also, even if there is an overlap between the vehicles, it is not getting recorded as a collision.
I have attached a snapshot of my simulation. The blue coloured vehicle is the vehicle that I am controlling. For all other vehicles, I have set the laneChange mode to 0b010001010101.

Thank you

Hi Jakob,
Should I also set any new parameters for disabling the safety checks. Cause I am still not able to cause a collision.
I am using SUMO v1_0_1+0928-ee52d65a66.
Thank you

This has been fixed in the latest development version.
Hello everyone,
Could you tell me if it is possible to cause lateral collisions while changing sublane in SUMO? Do I need to modify any parameters for that?
I am trying to create a vehicle model which tries to change lanes by changing sublanes. Hence for the algorithm to learn I would like a collision to occur if it changes incorrectly. I am able to create collisions
during lane changes but not during sublane change.
Thank you
Best Regards
Aashik
