RE: [stp-dev] WTP-based Policy Editor contribution:xalan_2.7.0 dependency

Hi Adrian,

I propose following: we will check now how much efforts are necessary to
exclude xalan from our wtp-based Policy Editor dependencies and then
will make a final decision. Don't have this dependency at all - seems to
be the easiest and right way.

Regards,
Andrei.

Hi Andrei,

Given that they are Apache components, there shouldn't be too much
problems in getting them into Orbit, it would just be a timing thing.
What we could do in this case is host the Apache components elsewhere
(away from the eclipse
infrastructure) like we do now with some of our JSR components that are
under way, and direct those who are downloading the STP to that site.
It's a little painful, but should just be a short term thing.

Right now, IONA hosts a number of jars required by the STP SC / SOAS
components at [1], maybe we could add xalan to there, while we wait for
them to go into Orbit?

Adrian.
