STEM Community Call, Thursday, September 3, 2015 On the call: Jamie, Stefan, Matt, Nereyda, Werner, Judy Next Call: Thursday, October 1st 1. Progress on Java 8/Eclipse 4 build, aka STEM/LUNA build *Have to resolve one remaining bug, one peculiar behavior; will do some testing *Will do gradual transition to ensure speedy response to any problems, avoid disruption of ongoing work *Milestone 1 for Version 3 set for October 21 2. Feature request updates: DEFER ALL UNTIL MIGRATION TO JAVA 8 AND LUNA COMPLETED [Restricting air travel for certain compartments; New plug in to measure poverty; Plug in for roads in Africa; Batch to control sequencer; Log automated experiments (?); Modify sequencer to get automatic experiments to run batch] 3. Bugs *Project generator OK; new project there *Bug 465981 Pending (Stefan). Dengue model, Kamesh’s bug, problem modifying value of one parameter, re-initializing scenario. Investigating scenario given that logger works with Experiments; Jamie used recently w/o problems; still to determine why it’s breaking for Kamesh (perhaps his file structure?) *Bug 465838 Fixed (Chris). Graph editor, posted by Matthias, “save graph as” and “save graph” don’t work; migration history doesn’t show 4. Updates Jamie on progress with Shenzhen CDC in China: Kun had good meeting, proposed three possible projects; CDC wants to come to Almaden to work with STEM; Kun will give an update on the October call 5. Items from participants *Nereyda: working on defense for her proposal; will keep Jamie posted as to when ready to model *Werner: at Jamie’s request, will ask who is using STEM; will give talk in October |
