STEM Community Call February 23, 2012 On call: Chris (moderator), Matt, Kun, Stefan, Judy 1. 1.3.1 PLAN Chris: Still working on his contribution Matt: Nothing new from Almaden team 2. NEW DOC FOR 1.3.1 Chris: Working on initializer, graph editor, shape file importer 3. UPDATE TO NEW VERSION OF ECLIPSE DEV ENVIRONMENT Matt: Waiting on Eclipse 3.7.2, expected later this week or next Will announce via Newsgroup, recommend shift to new version of STEM w/ Eclipse 3.7.2 & EMF 4. MATTHIAS' SUGGESTION ON WIKI DEMO Kun: Has model for polio demo, will work to finalize it w/ Jamie when he is back Chris: Having difficulty finding a place to link chicken pox w/ what’s on Wikipedia Not much there, only a sentence or two where linking is possible; will discuss w/ Jamie 5. SHAPE FILE IMPORT/IPZILLA Chris: Matt’s library works for him but has problem Chris: Problem w/ polygon; some part is missing Polygon (region)≠polyline (street) Matt: Should first point and last point be the same? Does Chris want a closed shape? Will return same data—polygon but not polyline Chris: Will send Matt a shape file Matt: Probably will opt not to use open map; is writing code that meets our requirements 6.
