STEM Community Call May 5, 2011 On the call: Jamie, Stefan, Matt, Werner, Dirk, Judy Topics of the Week Status of new Earth Science Data plugins (Stefan for Jan) · Jan has been working on them, now have 2000-2010 · New plugs ins are in SDN repository · 2009 is out of build · Include as feature in next release · Plan: Post notice on Newsgroup, stem-dev Discussion on STEM ‘features” and proposed repository re-organization (Matt) · Matt: Please read the email on stem-dev, postings on newsgroup and comment Update on Bug 318709, feature request from Matthias: “Develop a report generator for scenarios and simulations” (Jamie) · Development of prototype In progress o Have decided to use _javascript_ to allow expand/collapse o Dirk: Matthias would concur · Will send to Matthias for comments Updates from Students · No updates Visit to San Jose class working on STEM (Matt) · Students doing interesting work, did a good job · Visit gave Matt and Jan some ideas Update from Werner on demo · Went well, much interest, including some on flu Items from Participants · Judy: Proposal for Epidemics 3 due June 30; Jamie/Stefan will prepare · Dirk: Is there some way in STEM to create movies for demos when machines might not work?
