STEM V1.2.0 RC
· Jan-Frederick checked in items
· Stefan & Jan-Frederick will move items down in branch (now on top level)
· Once items in, will build & post RC5
· Agreed: Change publication date to 5/3 to allow time for testing
Metadata
· Jamie will change published release date to 5/3
New Section on Wiki

New Process for Automating STEM Nightly Builds
· Now have continuous integration software locally
· Will move to Eclipse infrastructure for this
· Discussion re frequency for binary builds (currently take 35 minutes to run) and for publishing binaries
· Matt will post item on Newsgroup or stem.dev
· Runs to take place so as not to disrupt German colleagues at 2 am Pacific
Moving STEM to Java 1.6
· Discussion. Will make performance higher; will need to change documentation; next version will use 6 only
· Decision: Make change official ; eventually lift language compatibility requirements
New Item: Moving to Eclipse 3.7
· Discussion: 3.7 about to replace 3.6
· Currently STEM runtime plugins are 3.5, building at 3.6
· Decision: One month prior to 1.2.1 update documentation to Eclipse platform version Indigo (3.7)
· Will need to update documentation as to Java and Eclipse versions; Judy to locate pages where these occur
Student Projects
· Stefan will contact students (probably in final exams)

· Jamie: Put Future Plans for Earth Science data up for discussion next week: feature or part of core?
· Jamie: Will need to discuss feature builds, i.e., what is to be part of the core product vs. optional features?

· Stefan & Matt: Will visit San Jose students who’ve been working on STEM, will update Werner on their work
