Of course. After all, I do work for IBM :-) (Sorry, couldn't resist. I'm
pretty sure that Websphere was the main driver for the implementation
of EMF.)

I just took a look at the new version of EMF, which supports R3M5.
It looks absolutely super.
I decided to give it a try on generating a schema based model
from the complete SCL schema. It generated a good model from
the schema, and then a set of code bindings very similar to what
we'd get from JAXB, only with much better plugin support. (It
will automatically generate an editor which we can use to build
example messages for driving tests, and it packages the full
bindings as a plugin.)
Unless there are objections, I'm going to start using EMF for the
WVCM backend.
