[stellation-res] Self-hosting update

Just to keep everyone well-informed...
I expected us to be self-hosting already by now, but things are taking
longer to set up than I anticipated. For perfectly reasonable reasons,
the Eclipse admins are *very* careful about what software they will
allow on a machine inside the Eclipse domain - after all, once a machine
inside the firewall gets compromised, the whole network is effectively
compromised! So getting things set up is just a more complicated process
than I expected.
This also means that some of our plans for the website on the new
server need to be scaled back. We discussed using some kind of CMS
system, and those are, effectively, out of the question. On the other
hand, our MOO was approved, and will be up and running as soon as we
open the server to traffic from outside the firewall - and the MOO
provides forums, and some CMS-like functionality through something
called webslates.
Anyway - I'm hoping to have the last problems ironed out shortly.
