Re: [stellation-res] Stellation 3rd party libs feature
|
Jeffrey -
Thanks for letting me know!
M4 is stricter w.r.t. installing features than previous releases, and the
current 3rd-party jar package is a bit malformed due to a misunderstanding
on my part. I will reconfigure and rebuild the feature, ask Mark to
sanity check it and then
upload it to the website downloads area. Perhaps you could test it then,
to verify it works?
FYI, I wrote up a doc on feature packaging last week (once I realized that
the issue uncovered by M4), and some members of the platform-update team are
helping check it for accuracy etc. I will post it more generally when it's
finalized.
Thanks,
Jim

Hello,
I downloaded the third party libraries feature for the Eclipse client.
I'm using version M4 of Eclipse under linux (RH7.3). When I clicked
the Finish button and then the Install button in the dialog that
popped up, the installation process aborted with an error. The error
was:
Unable to retrieve remote reference
"file:/home/jhoward/temp/stellationLibs/features/org.eclipse.stellation.3rdparty.feature_1.0.0/about.html".
[/home/jhoward/temp/stellationLibs/features/org.eclipse.stellation.3rdparty.feature_1.0.0/about.html
(No such file or directory.)]
It will be pretty easy to extract the individual plugins from the
feature and install them by hand, but I thought I should mention it
anyway.
