Their legal folks are working on wording that says, essentially, "This is GPL, except that linking is allowed without restriction for open-source projects with an OSI certified license." That would be OK with us. So for now, we treat it as first class, but clearly state that we only use the last version preceeding the name change from mm.mysql to connectorJ. (That's when the license change occurred.)
