Re: [stellation-res] UML modelling, papers, and documentation

To answer two obvious questions that I forgot in the previous message:

(1) We don't know for sure where we want to submit the paper. ACM
SigSoft's "Software Engineering Notes", or "Software: Practice and
Experience" are my best guess of good places to send it: they're both
extremely high quality journals which get read by a lot of SE
researchers. We're open to other suggestions.

(2) Most research journals do not pay authors. If, by some miracle,
we find a place that actually pays for publication, any co-authors will,
of course, get a share of the fee. (But don't expect much: as an
example, my wife managed to get a journal article that she was payed
for: the total authors fee was $75, to be split among all of the
authors.)

(I'd like, as a separate publicity exercise, to get an article about
Stellation in someplace like Linux Journal or its Java equivalent, but
that's an entirely different article.

If any of you want to write articles for IBM's developerworks on
Stellation, go right ahead. They actually pay real money - something
like several hundred dollars per article per author.)
