[stellation-res] MySql Performance

I have some interesting numbers on MySql performance compared to Postgres
running on Windws XP.

I have a test workspace with about 2415 files in roughy 200 directories.
The time to perform a full checkin of this workspece into an empty database
is as follows:

Postgres 14:45
MySql 6.22

This gives an edge of ruughly 2.5:1 for MySql on a checkin operation. Now I
have done no performance tuning on either database so this may simply
indicate that MySql is better tuned out of the box but the numbers are
certainly suggestive. It would be interesting to get comparable numbers for
these databases under Linux.
