A number of things have already been simplified with the prepackaged
dependencies. For the rest, I tweaked a number of things to get my
initial Oracle port running. There were changes in my classpath because
I had to include the Oracle JDBC drivers and probably I did some more
minor things that I can't remember now.
On the other hand, I'm not that familiar with the self-hosting approach
of Eclipse yet, so I'm not able to comment on the setting of the
Eclipse preferences.

I just did this to have full control over my initial implementation of
my OracleDBAccessPoint. Some of the table and column names in the
abstract DBAccessPoint and in one of the ArtifactAgents where reserved
words in Oracle. This was my main reason to do this. It wouldn't last
that way.
