Re: [stellation-res] Updated tar posted
|
Sorry.
We were thinking that ....... (lame excuse) ....... never mind.
It won't happen again.
How about using names like stellation-0.1-07102002.tgz ??
This allows us to distinguish different drops without needlessly revving
the version number.
A "nightly-build" process seems like overkill at the moment.
Mark is working on a mirroring process, where we use a local Stellation
repository
(we do need to test it, after all!) and our changes are mirrored to the
Eclipse CVS repository regularly.
Perhaps once that is working, we can also have the mirror script generate a
source tar and check that
into Eclipse CVS as well). Would this be useful? Worth the effort to get
it running?

I'll second that. Perhaps moving to a "nightly build" type
process, as Eclipse was/is doing, would be more appropriate.

Hi,
I've posted an updated tar file to the downloads area, reflecting
various code cleanups (mostly Javadoc-related) over the past
few days. The name of the file has not changed:
it's still stellation-0.1.tgz.
It's bad form to change the contents of a distribution file and not
change its name, as
this can be a source of great confusion when two users report different
results without
knowing they are using a different download.
