Re: [statet-users] Impossible to install statET 4.11 in eclipse 2025-06
|
Hi Fernando,
I think, I can reproduce your issue. The problem is, that Eclipse
installs wrong versions of dependencies from other update sites.
Although the installations appears to complete successfully, when
Eclipse is (re)started, it is unable to load the R plugins and records
this as “FrameworkEvent ERROR” messages in the log.
To avoid the problem, you must disable all update sites that are not
required. In the Eclipse preferences, go to "Install/Update > Available
Software Sites" and disable all sites except “2025-06”. You should do
this before installing any plugins.
I also recommend to disable automatic updates in the preferences
("Install/Update > Available Software Sites"), to avoid, that Eclipse
installs incompatible versions on this way.
Unfortunately, I don’t know an easy way to remove the wrong dependencies
once they have been installed. So I think it’s best to start with a
clean installation.
Regards,
Stephan

Dear all:
I have spent several days trying to install statET in eclipse 2025-06,
but until now, it has been impossible. It looks like the plugin is
installed, but there is no recognition of the language, nor R editor, and so
on. I am trying to install statET from the eclipse market place (see below),
and also directly using "Install new Software" feature, but both of them
failed
I am installing only the default features (see below). But after to
restart eclipse, there is no option to configurate any R script (see below
too). If I see the preferences tab, I can see Tex [statET], but no statET
plugin options. I have no idea about how to solve this problem: can someone
help me?? I have to admit that I am really struggling.
Best Regards,
Fernando.
