主旨: [sparkplug-spec.committee] BALLOT: Approval to create the Sparkplug Specification Project

Greetings Sparkplug Specification Committee.

I need your vote to approve the creation of the Sparkplug specification project with this scope:

Sparkplug defines how Edge of Network (EoN) gateways or native MQTT enabled end devices and MQTT Applications communicate bi-directionally within an MQTT infrastructure. The specification details the structure and implementation requirements for Sparkplug compliant MQTT Client implementations on both EoN gateways/devices (edge profile) and MQTT Applications (host profile).

Per the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process, this will be a seven day ballot, ending on June 3/2020. I require a Super-majority positive vote of the Specification Committee members.

Specification Committee representatives, your vote is hereby requested. Please respond to this message with +1 (positive), 0 (abstain), or -1 (reject).  Any feedback that you can provide to support your vote will be appreciated (although not required).

While I have your attention... most of the committers listed on the proposal do not currently have Eclipse Foundation accounts. We will need them to create these accounts before we can provision the project. Please reach out to the committers to ask them to create their account (if they already have an account, please let me know what email address they're using and I'll update that on the proposal).

Thanks,

Wayne
