Hi all,
Please find the Eclipse Sparkplug Specification Project meeting notes from today’s meeting below. Please let me know if I missed anything.
Eclipse Sparkplug Specification Project - Meeting Notes - 17 November 2020
- Attendees
-
Angelo Corsaro
- Chad Kienle
- Frederic Desbiens
- Ilya Binshtok
- Luca Cominardi
- Nathan Davenport
- Travis Cox
- Wes Johnson
- Short round of intros... Welcoming Angelo Corsaro.
- General discussion around Sparkplug specification work...
- Copy only the original content in the first iteration and fit into the existing TOC items stubbed out in each chapter.
- Duplicated content across sections/chapters is okay for now. This will be cleaned up in future iterations.
- Remove content from Sparkplug_Converted.adoc as you “port” content to the new chapters.
- Remember to assign the spec task (Github issue) to yourself before starting your work.
- There are many other Github issues tracking work outside of the specification content “port”, including recreating diagrams.
- How should new diagrams be created? What tooling do we have available? Wes, others to follow up on tooling recommended by Ivar.
- July 1st 2021: Steering Committee defined goal for completion of the Sparkplug specification, the TCK, etc.
- Eclipse foundation may have funding for a dedicated resource to the Sparkplug Specification Project. This is still under discussion.
- The task tracking the Appendix “port” (includes payload details) will likely be broken down into many smaller tasks.
Thanks,
Nathan
