Colleagues,
the Stardust project has one last open
CQ9610 (
https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9610 )
for the upcoming Mars release. As this is a works-with
dependency, per
http://www.eclipse.org/org/documents/Eclipse_Policy_and_Procedure_for_3rd_Party_Dependencies_Final.pdf
, your input is required.
Reasoning why we would
like to include this as a “works-with” dependency:
CQ9610 is about
servlet-api jar, which, being a standard interface, only is
required at compile time. Shipping this jar is not required,
as j2ee runtime containers will come with their own
implementation of the interface. As the artefact never is
shipped in the downloads and is only required to validate
compliance with a standard API, a works-with dependency
seems in order here.
Please provide your
feedback or at least votes via
soa-pmc@xxxxxxxxxxx
asap, as the release timelines are very tight (in fact,
IP-Log is already overdue).
Many thanks,
Marc
