There were timezone problems due to North America timezone
changing, and not Europe, and Donald had sent the meeting invitation out from North
America -
No meeting next week due to EclipseCon. -
Donald still needs to speak to Ricco about 4.2 OSGi code
inclusion. Will update list as soon as we can connect. -

Oliver apologized for the delay in making the request to include
ECF in the SOA IWG package, and will deliver the request today. -
Oliver has proposed a SOA BOF at Eclipsecon that we hope would
be interesting to the SOA IWG participants. If for some reason we are
unable to have a SOA BOF, we will plan meet during the day through the week. -
The Eclipse Foundation can confirm we agree with the SOA IWG to
begin a promotion of the SOA IWG (which has thus far been unlinked or promoted)
sometime after EclipseCon, but before Helios. -

ECF in the Package o Engineering
is including some pieces of ECF, but they are not related to the bigger
potential of ECF, and the even greater potential of integration with Swordfish. o Oliver
will draft a request to the IWG Steering Committee to include the suggested
complimentary ECF components in the IWG package. It is known that there
will not be an integration between ECF and Swordfish in the short or mid term,
and hence the IWG Steering Committee needs to determine if this situation
warrants an exception the charter which has a stated goal of providing
integrated components. -
Engineering o BAM
and other components in road map – meeting was delayed due to unfortunate
illness, meetings will take place at EclipseCon, and road map update will need
to occur after EclipseCon -
Plans for Media Launch o To
date, there has been no formal launch of the IWG, it has been working with very
low visibility. o The
Participation of Engineering, a large European based SI gives the working group
a solid backing to do a formal launch. o Consensus
is that we are ready to do a launch – after EclipseCon, and before Helios -
