Re: [soa-iwg] SOA Website Update

Title: Re: [soa-iwg] SOA Website Update
All,
Thank you Don for that update. Here is my feedback for the next step:
- Main page: In the member column (right) I can’t see the random order of the logo instead of a alphabetic order. Is this a technical problem? I just don’t like SOPERA to be the latest for ever given the fact, that SOPERA initiated this group :-)
- Subpages – Menu (left): I’d like to avoid the line breaks in the menu. Could we either enlarge the menu frame to avoid that, or shorten the menu items (e.g. “Download SOA Initiative Package” -> “Download”, “About the consortium” -> “Consortium”, “Community and Support” -> “Community & Support”)?
- “Getting started” page: Zsolt, could you provide a first draft?
- “Download” page”: I suggest not to link to the general download page, but to a dedicated download page containing (1) the SOA Platform (EPP) package, (2) the Obeo Member Distro, and (3) mirrors of the members only (in order to increase the member value).
- “Consortium” page: @Don: Could you please update the SOPERA text to “SOPERA is the leading European open source provider in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions.”
- “Community & Services” page: I suggest to split that page into to sections: (1) Roadmap, (2) Free Community Service, and (3) Commercial Services by the Members. Please see details in the attached word document @Don: Is the forum functionality already available?
Best,
Ricco

- Removed the news feed from the Members list on the right.
- Removed the general eclipse.org menu bar so that people didn’t confuse them with the SOA Imitative.
- I need content for the “Getting Started” section – I assume that will come from Zsolt via his testing of the package (?) -- see a sample from the Pulsar page: http://www.eclipse.org/pulsar/quickinstall/
- I updated the Consortium page – I need to clean it up, but I think the content is there.
- I still need content and help with the Community Support and Service page – what else should go there?
- Don
