Hi all,
As the project lead for the Eclipse User Storage Service SDK, and in line with our deprecation announcement from last year, I’d like to inform everyone that the project will be removed from the 2025-06 Eclipse IDE release train.
Following that release, I plan to engage with EMO to formally initiate the termination and archival process for the Eclipse User Storage Service SDK project.
I’d like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this project—especially Brian de Alwis, Eike Stepper, and Antoine Thomas, whose contributions were instrumental in getting this functionality into the Eclipse IDE. I’d also like to recognize projects that have integrated with the Eclipse User Storage Service SDK over the years, including Eclipse Oomph for synchronizing settings, and Eclipse Marketplace Client (MPC) for storing Eclipse Marketplace favorites.
