Hi Sara,
I hope you are doing fine! Just a quick question, as we participated in the Early Bird Call for Papers for OCX. Do you happen to know when the decision will be taken, if Lars can present at the event?
🙂
Best,
Valérie

Dear SDV Steering Committee, TAC,
Dear SDV Community,
The end of the year is filling up fast, so here is a quick roundup of the events we are brewing, and how you can get involved:
1. North America: Automotive SW Strategies Conference USA (Nov 3-4) and Eclipse SDV Sunnyvale Meetup (Nov 5)
On November 3-4, I’ll be at Automotive Software Strategies USA in San Jose, presenting “Eclipse SDV: Driving Global Open
Source Innovation in the Automotive Landscape”.
Automotive Software Strategies USA brings together automotive and tech leaders to discuss the next phase of the SDVs, covering topics from operating systems, middleware and platform APIs to safe and AI-ready platforms, Rust, and agentic coding for safety-critical
automotive software.
If you’d like to attend, reach out to me for a discount code.
Right after, on November 5, we gather for the first
Eclipse SDV Community Meetup in Sunnyvale, hosted by Bosch & ETAS (on site and online). We're finalizing the agenda and might still have a free speaking slot, so if you'd like to present,
register and drop me a line.
2. Eclipse SDV Community Days in Munich (Dec 2-3) and Korea Meetup (Dec 2)
Our
Q4 Community Days are hosted by Accenture in Munich (and online) on December 2-3, with the Eclipse S-CORE 1.0 release as a highlight. The Call for Proposals is open until November 13 for 30-minute talks, demos and panel proposals (speakers should be
on site), and we're still looking for Program Committee volunteers, just reach out to me.
In parallel, on December 2, Eclipse SDV returns to Korea with a
Community Meetup hosted by LG Electronics at LG Science Park in Seoul. If you'd like to give a talk there (on site preferred, remote possible), please contact Ansgar.

3. Looking forward to OCX 2027 (April 13-15, 2027, Brussels)
Registration
for Open Community Experience 2027 is now open! OCX27 takes place April 13-15 in Brussels, and the Eclipse SDV community has its own track there:
Software-Defined Systems & Mobility. Each day has its own focus:
- Day 1, Software-Defined Vehicles deep dive: hands-on integration with Eclipse S-CORE, OpenSOVD and the SDV Blueprints; functional safety, security and open toolchains for navigating regulations; and ecosystem interoperability, from scalable
blueprints to commercial adoption.
- Day 2, OpenHW and RTOSes: open silicon and hardware/software co-design with OpenHW, operating systems across microcontrollers, cockpits and gateways, and hard real-time meeting open source.
- Day 3, Software-defined mobility and robotics: beyond the car, covering infrastructure and rail, and low-latency middleware for UAVs and mobile robots.
AI topics run through the track as they apply to vehicles and mobility systems.
The Call for Proposals is also open, with an early-bird deadline of November 9, so it’s a great moment to submit your talk. Please forward this to the engineers in your organisation who work on software-defined vehicles.
Register to OCX
here.
As always, you can find all upcoming events at
https://eclipsesdv.org/events/
Looking forward to seeing many of you in Sunnyvale, Munich, Seoul and Brussels!
Best regards,
Sara
