We are excited to share the establishment of the Sovereign AI Foundation as an industry collaboration within the Eclipse Foundation: "a vendor-neutral space for Member organisations to share knowledge, map use cases, foster innovative research, and track the direction of AI development together."

As software-defined vehicles increasingly integrate AI-driven workflows—ranging from developer toolchains and virtual testing/validation to edge AI, perception models, and autonomous orchestration—establishing open, transparent, and sovereign governance frameworks for AI assets is critical.
The Sovereign AI Foundation aims to foster an open, vendor-neutral ecosystem around artificial intelligence technologies, ensuring digital sovereignty, trustworthy AI governance, and collaborative development across industry domains.
