Dear SDV Community,

We hope you enjoyed yesterday’s session on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and its impact on the software-defined vehicle ecosystem.

For those who want to revisit the discussion or couldn't attend live, the webinar recording is now available.

Thank you again to everyone who joined the session and followed our speakers' presentations.

We also encourage you to join upcoming SDV sessions and technical webinars throughout May, including the Functional Safety Committee introduction on May 11.

Best regards,

Ana

Dear SDV Community,

Following this week's highly successful session on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) in the automotive sector (recordings soon available), we are pleased to announce a robust lineup of technical deep dives and committee updates for the remainder of May.

🛡️ Special Session: [sdv-wg] Functional Safety Committee Introduction

Monday, May 11 | 16:00 – 17:00 CET

Since we introduced the Eclipse Functional Safety Process, the Eclipse SDV working group charter has been amended accordingly.

We invite all stakeholders to an introductory session focused on the governance of safety-relevant software. As we integrate open-source components into safety-critical environments (ISO 26262), the role of the Functional Safety Committee becomes highly relevant.

Speaker@Dana Vede

Agenda Highlights:

  • EFFSP Overview: Understanding the Eclipse Foundation Functional Safety Process and its application to SDV projects.

  • The Mission of the FSC: Why a dedicated safety committee is vital for industry-grade open source.

  • Roles & Responsibilities: Defining the technical and administrative duties within the FSC.

  • Governance & Elections: Detailed insight into FSC composition and the democratic election process.

  • Q&A: An open forum to address compliance and safety workflow queries.

You can find the invitation on the SDV Community calendar here
The meeting will be recorded.
