[sdv-wg] Update on the Steering Committee activity
Dear SDV Community, 

I'd like to update you on the Steering Committee activities during the past month. 

Candidate Program Plan 2026: throughout the month of October the steering committee has been working on the 2026 program plan, which identifies the goals and the strategies to achieve them for the upcoming year. 
The candidate program plan is moving forward to the evaluation for approval of the executive director.

In addition, today, the Steering Committee has voted to take the following Eclipse projects under the purview of the Eclipse SDV working group:

Finally, I'm happy to announce that the Steering Committee has approved the formation of a new Special Interest Group - the AI SIG. Here is the official proposal put forward by @John Stenlake. More information on this presentation.
