Today we deep dived into some interesting metrics showing the SDV Community involvement and code contributions. Here is a summary of the findings that you can check out in the presentation.

• +51.8% commits, +86.8% merged PRs, +28.1% new contributors YoY.

• 94% of Building Blocks hosted in Eclipse, proving its role as the SDV open-source hub.

Industrial Impact: HAL4SDV/SHIFT2SDV contributions (e.g., Eclipse Kuksa, Eclipse uProtocol) are bridging R&D to production.

Healthy Ecosystem: Rising forks (+20% for top repos) signal adoption; diverse contributors (OEMs, academia, SMEs).

The FEDERATE Effect: How EU Funding Catalyzed Growth

• Before: Slow cross-project collaboration.

• After:

• Shared BB repository → 178 blocks, 94% Eclipse-hosted.

• HAL4SDV/SHIFT2SDV alignment → 60% faster onboarding for new devs.
