Dear Eclipse SDV-Group,
my Name is Thomas Fleischmann – short Tom.
I would like to nominate myself as Committer Member of the Eclipse SDV Steering Committee.
In the past, I was representing VW/Cariad as one of the first OEMs inside of Eclipse SDV WG driving the adoption of Open Source from the OEM side.
- I worked within the VDA and towards the EU Commission to rally the industry behind the idea of open and shared collaboration on the Eclipse SDV platform
- Wrote and voiced together with the European auto industry a joint position towards the EU Cyber Resilience Act / CRA during last year to mitigate some of the initially seen adverse effects
- Ignited the need together with the Autosar community to help the industry to collaborate on items which have been initially specified by Autosar;
in large parts due to our push to actually contribute first assets like SomeIP to Eclipse SVD.
As of March 2025 in my new role with Accenture I would love to represent the contribution side into the Eclipse SDV Steering Committee.
My colleagues from Accenture contribute projects like Eclipse Open BSW and as well contribute to the Eclipse S-Core project from day 1.
I believe, I can bring to the round a strong voice from the committer side and as well help grow the Eclipse SDV Ecosystem further.
