Dear All,
The SDV
Steering and Technical Advisory Committees do valuable
work on behalf of the Working Group. While these
committees are led by the Strategic members of the
working group, the governance structure provides for
representation of individuals from the Participant
membership class. Recently, one of those elected seats
became vacant for both committees. The Steering
Committee has requested the Eclipse Foundation call an
election to fill the seat until the next scheduled
annual election is called for the working group in
March 2025.
Please note
the following important information:
Nomination
Eligibility Participant Members
All
individuals who are employed by an organization that
is a Participant member of the working group may stand
for election. The current Participant Members of the
SDV Working Group can be viewed here. Please
indicate whether you are putting your name forward for
the Steering or Technical Advisory Committee or both.
Also note that there can be one candidate for a
Participant member organization.
Election
Schedule:
October 2 -

October
14: Announce Candidates Standing
October 15
- 21: Ballots Distributed (Voting Period)

Nominations
must be sent to this mailing list indicating
related Committee/Seat. When the
nomination period is closed, we will inform the
working group of the confirmed candidates providing a
short bio for each along with their position
statement. At that point, we will distribute ballots
via a third party system via email to those eligible
to vote. The election process will follow the Eclipse
“Single Transferable Vote” method, as defined in the Eclipse
Bylaws. The
elected candidates will be announced on this mailing
list following the close of the election. Self
nominations are more than welcome!
Please let
us know if you have any questions. Nominations are
now open!.
Best
Regards,
Zahra
