Dear S-CORE and OpenSOVD community,

over the past few months we have discussed the integration of OpenSOVD into S-CORE several times in different settings. While there is strong alignment on the relevance and potential of this topic, we see the need to create more concrete traction, shared understanding, and technical clarity to move this forward in a structured and sustainable way.

To this end, we would like to propose a joint architecture and engineering workshop with a focus on diagnostics in S-CORE and the integration of OpenSOVD. The motivation of this workshop is to identify existing architectural and technical gaps, clarify a shared technical target picture, and define concrete next steps. In particular, the workshop aims to:

  • discuss open architectural and design decisions related to diagnostics in S-CORE,
  • clarify integration prerequisites and approaches for OpenSOVD,
  • collect and align requirements and expectations from Adopters and OEMs, and
  • create a basis for faster implementation, broader adoption, and stronger industry contribution.

We are currently finalizing the organizational details and confirming the date, but we are aiming for May 19th or May 20th. A final confirmation will follow shortly.
