Re: [science-iwg] Last Week to Submit for EclipseCon 2020!

Hi,

The CFP is over now. And except Philip with SWTChart, at least one STEM proposal and one about Eclipse Zenoh I could not see anything else with the keyword "science". Probably a few others in different tracks that are science-related, but not many.

Does that mean, there is not so much momentum for another Science WG session on the Community Day?

Thank you to everyone who submitted a talk for the early-bird deadline for
EclipseCon. You can see the list of accepted talks on the website.
<https://www.eclipsecon.org/2020/news/congratulations-early-speakers> The
final deadline to propose a talk is just a few days away on June 15; visit
the Call for Proposals <https://www.eclipsecon.org/2020/cfp> page for more
information.

EclipseCon has always been a great event for Eclipse working groups, and
this year?s virtual EclipseCon 2020 <https://www.eclipsecon.org/2020> is no
exception. The online conference is planned for October 19 - 22, with the
great content, networking opportunities, and fun that EclipseCon is known
for.

In particular, EclipseCon provides a means for working groups to highlight
their projects, to bring their community together to engage in shared
initiatives, and to explore with other members of the broader Eclipse
community to find synergies and best practices.

Community Day, on October 19, is focused on and around working groups. It?s
a place to gather your existing community and a way to invite new members
to join. Plan a meeting, organize a workshop, hold a marketing planning
session -- whatever your group wants to do! Please visit the Community Day
page <https://www.eclipsecon.org/2020/community-day> on the website to
learn more, and sign up soon, since space is limited.

FYI, for the first time, we also have special sponsorship opportunities for
working groups -- distinct from corporate sponsorships -- to enable
promotion of the working group within their community. To learn more, email
sponsors@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Regards,

The EclipseCon Team
