If you want the processes and practices of eclipse to better suit your projects needs then you need to participate in the solution. Reading the minutes does not further your agenda or help others in the same situation. Unfortunate.
Yes, it is unfortunate. Sadly, those of us that have been around for a
while recognize that Jeff's is a common response to many calls for
change...in the EF, in the rt-pmc, in the release train process, in the
marketing/presentation of rt projects, in resource allocation for rt
shared resources (like all rt project promotion/presentation, releng, etc).
My observation is that after a while many projects/project leads realize
that participation (on the rt-pmc at least) doesn't have many tangible
positive effects for their project...i.e. the change they are looking
for doesn't actually happen...whether they participate or not...and thus
because time is a precious resource for everyone, participation on the
rt-pmc goes down...particularly from the (generally smaller/independent)
projects that get little/nothing from the rt-pmc, planning council,
architecture council, EF marketing, etc...except more demands on their time.
