To clarify for the IP team, you are not going to redistribute this code you
simply want to use it during development/build. How are you planning on
housing the code? In CVS? In source or binary form?
If the older version is suitable and is already housed at Eclipse in a useful
form (binary in the Orbit repo), is there any tangible difference for you
moving to the newer version? I don't want to inhibit anything you want to do
but would like to ensure the IP team is doing relevant work.
Factoring into this is the likelihood that some other Eclipse project will want
the new version of Jetty. Equinox (and thus the platform etc) will likely move
to Jetty 7 for the next release and is unlikely to change from 6.1.15 for any
service releases unless there is some very compelling reason.
