Re: [rt-pmc] Branding out bundle providers

I agree with Pascal. Probably should use the simple name (i.e. Equinox, eRCP etc). No need for "the" or "project".

Agree. I would use "Eclipse.org - eRCP" and
http://eclipse.org/ercp is our home page.

I don't like the "the", what about
Eclipse.org - Equinox
Eclipse.org - Equinox project
For example it would be interesting if the user could type in http://eclipse.org/<segment> and go to a landing page

[rt-pmc] Branding out bundle providers |
Please see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=252813
The Bundle-Vendor header specifies the provider of the bundle. This is used in the about dialog to indicate the provider of a bundle. In the past most bundles in Eclipse simply used Eclipse.org for both bundles and feature providers. The planning council has decided that Eclipse.org is too general and the project name where the bundles are developed should be included in the provider name when participating in Galileo.
So my question to you is what should the provider name be for all the bundles/features in RT. I don't think we should use the top level Runtime project as the provider of the bundles. For example, I think the bundles in Equinox should use something like
Eclipse.org - the Equinox project
What are your thoughts on this? How are other RT leads handling this must do for Galileo?
