I’ve tried building it with an empty repository, but I still get the same error. This happens in eclipse as well. [1]
I am running the test as a junit plug-in test ( with an eclipse workbench set as the application to run ) and the assertion < assertTrue(secondFile.exists()); > from the < public void testChangeRepoUrl() > method fails.

Don't worry, I won't be embarrassed if someone points out my mistakes
here. ;)
This increases your chance that someone will take care of an issue
quickly.
The tests work fine for me. mvn clean verify builds successfully.
Can you try building it against an empty local repo? Temporarily rename
your ~/.m2/repository folder and try again.
