Thanks a lot Havard! Looking forward to this huge step for RDF4J.

I want to add a bit of transparancy here on a work item I am currently looking into: the HTTP client evolution of GH-5723. The PR for this is technically ready and there has been integration testing going on for a while. The current plan is to get this PR merged by Tuesday next week (14th of April). 

I am happy to take any feedback on the design and implementation!

Hi all,

We would like to share some information about the next major release.

The main goals are:

- Upgrading dependencies
- Query optimization
- Improvements to the LMDB Store
- Making preparations for supporting RDF 1.2 and SPARQL 1.2

We are hoping for a first milestone in mid-April and a release by the end of May.

We recommend everyone take a look at the plans and start testing the changes as soon as we publish a milestone build.

RDF4J 5.3.0 should hopefully be released next week.
