[rdf4j-dev] 3(!) parallel patch releases coming up: 1.0.3, 2.0.3, and 2.1.2

Folks,

I’m about to release three parallel patch versions:

- 2.1.2 because that patches the latest stable release
- 2.0.3 because Ontotext urgently needs a fix for #649 (hashcode regression) and they don’t want to jump to 2.1 right before their own release
- 1.0.3 because we’re doing 2.0.3 and we committed to parallel java7 backports for the 2.0.x range.

There’s two new issues fixed in these versions, see https://github.com/eclipse/rdf4j/milestone/13?closed=1

In addition I cherrypicked a few fixes we released in 2.1 and 2.1.1 back to 2.0.3 and 1.0.3:

It’s all potentially a tad confusing to our user base, so in public announcements I’ll probably just focus on the 2.1.2 release, and mention the other two versions in passing only.

I don’t plan to make a habit of this by the way: going forward I’d prefer to stop doing further patches for 2.0.x. Since 2.1 is backward-compatible that shouldn’t really be a problem for our users.

Cheers,

Jeen
