[ptp-user] CVS for ptp generated code
|
Constantinos,
Yes Eclipse projects can be shared with source code repositories including CVS, SVN, eGit, and any others supported by Eclipse.
All that is independent of PTP.
It should all work for local projects - I believe there is not yet support for source code repository support for remote projects.
However there is nothing to keep you from doing the repository interaction from the command line at the remote machine location from a shell, for instance.
I have used CVS and SVN but not eGit, so don't have any experience with it.

Hello Greg,
Thank you for your reply.
I'm trying to find a way for a developer/student to track versions of the code he/she writes on a local or remote cluster.
Can e.g. eGit or another plug in be used?
Best Regards,
Constantinos
PS: Please excuse me in case this reply opens a new thread, but I can't determine how to do it via Gmail.

Hi all,
As I didn't find any relevant info, I would like to ask if anybody knows
about a CVS system that can be used to track code changes for projects
created via Eclipse PTP. Could Eclipse CVS plugin be used, OR eGIT OR
something similar?
Thank you in advance,
Constantinos Delistavrou

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you want to be able to use CVS with remote projects, or something else?
